An artwork in public. A personal view through the phone.
A camera-based digital encounter accompanies Betül Kotil’s Saya’nın Sesi at Istanbul Airport, keeping the sculpture and its artist at the centre of the story.

The artwork comes first.
Betül Kotil’s Saya’nın Sesi is installed beneath the airport’s metro-connection viaduct. The artist won the first İGART art competition with the work, whose hanging elements give it a distinct relationship with the public space.
That recognition belongs to the artwork and artist. The camera project is an accompanying digital contribution: another way for a visitor to approach the installation with their own device.
The installation and the phone encounter.
Original footage shows the sculpture in place and visitors bringing phones into the encounter.
A work within the architecture
The installation’s suspended elements occupy the space beneath the viaduct. The recording documents the physical artwork rather than substituting a digital reconstruction for it.
The visitor’s camera
The project footage shows people using phones around the work. The personal view sits within a larger public-art setting, connecting the device with the installation.

Keep the digital contribution in proportion.
A physical point of reference
The sculpture remains visible in the project story. Its place, material and spatial presence supply the context for the camera encounter.
The visitor controls the view
The phone introduces a personal perspective within the public installation. The person’s position and framing are part of that encounter.
Artist and digital roles distinguished
The sculpture’s authorship belongs to Betül Kotil. The camera work is an accompanying experience, with its contribution described separately.
A digital encounter beside the original work.
Selected founder project work on the accompanying camera experience. The artist’s sculpture, the İGART commission and the physical installation are credited independently.
