Movement changes perception.

A micro site that tells Hayri Karay’s kinetic sculpture: scroll to move two mirrored forms through eight chapters on the work and its artist. Winner at the 24th Altın Pusula, Digital Communication · Micro Site.

Movement changes the reading.

Hayri Karay’s İsimsiz rises 37.7 metres through the terminal. Two moving mirrored steel forms reflect the architecture and open a different view with each change of position.

Most passengers pass it on their way to a gate, without knowing its artist, its idea or how it moves. The micro site exists to tell the work: eight chapters cover the sculpture, Hayri Karay’s idea, its living structure, light and shadow, its manifesto, the technical record, where to see it and the artist’s biography.

The digital experience brings that relationship to a smaller screen. The sculpture’s motion, camera framing and readable HTML text move together, in Turkish and English, inviting the visitor to look again at the physical work.

Scroll. See the same forms differently.

A changing viewpoint becomes the storytelling tool. The same two forms can hold a whole sequence of different readings.

Meet the forms

Two mirrored elements introduce the sculpture’s relationship.

Set the pace

Scrolling connects chapter progression, motion and framing.

Read the reflection

Light and viewpoint reveal new edges of the same geometry.

Meet the artist

The final chapters connect the digital view to Hayri Karay.

One scroll. Three coordinated layers.

Scroll

Progress and velocity set the visitor’s pace.

Move

Two forms rotate in opposing directions.

Reframe

The camera and environment reveal another reflection.

Read

Eight HTML chapters accompany the changing view.

Two forms. A changing perspective.

Move the two forms in opposing directions and examine how light describes their surfaces.

Let the visitor set the pace

Scroll progress and velocity drive opposing rotations through a damped response.

Compose the reflection

Metallic response, airport environment and camera framing make the same forms read differently.

Keep the story readable

Eight HTML chapters remain separate from the 3D scene, with direct chapter navigation.
